Intendente Alvear square, erroneous but commonly known as "Francia Square", is a traditional place of Recoleta in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Inside the square is the Recoleta Cemetery and the "Centro Cultural Recoleta". The square is located in one of the highest purchasing power in the city.
Every Sunday, in the square, takes place the largest outdoor handicrafts fair in the city and can find all sorts of high quality arts and crafts, glass fusing, leather, book restoration, manufacture of shoes and sandals, carvings mates, ethnic jewelery, incense, essences, artistic candles, musical instruments of indigenous people, photography and many more products.
