Julio Cortázar Square (Plaza Serrano)

Plaza Serrano

This small square is the heart of Palermo Viejo, a traditional neighbourhood of low houses. In the 80's, trendy pubs and restaurants opened around the square; nowadays the clothing and modernist design stores have multiplied. It is popularly known as the "Plaza Serrano".

Cortázar Sqaure is located almost in the heart of the area known as "Palermo SoHo" due to its artistic and bohemian style. It is approximately delimited by Niceto Vega, Malabia, Guatemala, and Godoy Cruz Streets. In Palermo SoHo there is activity during day and night, especially on weekends. The people visit it because of its pubs, (in some of them there are musical shows or plays,) restaurants, (they cover from relatively cheap food to haute cuisine,) and object design stores, with clothes or furniture.
